How do Clay Masks benefit your skin?

If you want to up your game when it comes to your skincare regime, you need to add a weekly clay mask into the mix.

If you have oily skin, large pores or generally just a dull complexion, you will love the results you get from regular usage of a clay mask.

There are many different colours of clay and each one has a slightly different benefit.  The two clays we currently sell are the olive green clay - which is brilliant for oily or acne prone skin, and the pastel pink clay - which is best for sensitive and dry skin.

Clay masks work by absorbing and drawing out impurities down in the pores, by deep cleaning the pores you can reduce the appearance of the pores and help to control sebum (oil) production. Sadly there is no way of shrinking the pores once they are open but you can reduce their appearance by keeping your pores deeply cleansed.  The pink clay has the added benefits of soothing and hydrating the skin.

I personally am a big fan of the olive green clay mask, as my skin is super oily with large pores (lucky me, lol).  I simply mix up in a little bowl with the green clay and some water to create a smooth paste, I then apply a thin coat to my face and leave on for around 5-10mins.  As I also have sensitive skin I only apply the clay for a short time so as not the cause my skin any irritation.  I then use a warm wet face washer and wipe the mask off.  My skin is left feeling smooth and glowing!!!  As you can tell by the photo, my beautiful daughter Emma loves to pamper her skin too ! What can I say.... like mother, like daughter.

Such a beautiful treat for your skin, apply weekly for best results.
